I encountered this doing the nightfall by myself earlier today. Didn't know about it until it happened after the first wave Fwiw, the second time I started it I just left a goblin alive after snipe/gjallarhorning from the rocks then ran down and killed the last enemy and it spawned the next wave Next wave, same thing. Left one alive, went down and killed it, and it proceeded normally
