Can't get past level 26
I'm having trouble getting past lvl 26. I've done plenty of strikes and few Eris bounties and a lot of regular bounties. I have rank 1 Vanguard and FWC. Do I just need to get them to level 2 and 3 to really do anything?

You'll need to start building up vanguard armor, and that will require ascendant materials. For those, do at least 1 public event daily. The daily stories also give guaranteed ascendant mats (more at higher difficulties). The weekly heroic strike is also good for this, he more difficult the better. Eventually you'll get to nightfalls.
