Can't get past level 26
I'm having trouble getting past lvl 26. I've done plenty of strikes and few Eris bounties and a lot of regular bounties. I have rank 1 Vanguard and FWC. Do I just need to get them to level 2 and 3 to really do anything?

has anyone mentioned you level up on light, not on experience? you need light level 33 armor from the vanguard to hit level 31. keep doing what you are and buy 33 light level gear. you need to hit rank 3+ do your bounties everyday it comes fast.

Focus on one first then the other

Focus on 1 vendor do all vanguard bounties if you have room or time do eries bounties

2 Risposte26-28 were the slowest levels in the game for me. Rank up a vendor for sure. Either vanguard or fwc just for the packages and buy some armor. Also you shouldnt have any problem buying exotics from Xûr since weeklys are matchmade now. And seriously dude, do bounties. Grinds rank and gets you a chance at exotic bounties. Get yourself an exotic gun

You must get up to some faction rank 3 (not Eris though), then buy enough gear to level up. It also helps if you can get an exotic chest or helmet from xur with the stange coins you should be getting each week, because only helmets and chest prices require a commendation

Do dailys and select bounties that stack with the daily. I get a lot of purple engrams from dailys and had at least 2 turn exotic.

Buy gear at the vendors.

You could try VoG for the raid gear and guns for lvl 30

Either run vog to get 30 or run bounties. Imo it's faster to get vog gear and shards to upgrade then ranking up a faction and buying the gear. But combine both you can do it in like 5 hours of play time.

Do Weekly Heroic for strange coin, and buy Exotic from Xur. That should get you around 31. ROC will rank your Vanguard, and Cryptark giving you Legendary packages at the postmaster. Plus you get a lot of rare engram drops that can turn into Legendary, or Exotic. They're fun too, and match-made so it goes fast.

Rank up Vanguard. That's all there really is to it. Get your bounties finished daily and play lots of strikes. Buy the gear when you are able to and you'll be level 31 in no time.

Rank up vanguard to rank 2. Buy the gear you can. Rank up to rank 3. Use the comedation to get more gear. Tuh dah. Tips for ranking up: do bounties from the bounty tracker. Patrol if you have a bounty for it. Try to tackle more than one bounty at once. For instance: patrol cosmodrome, collect sensor mites in the cosmodrome, melee kill 30 enemies without dying, and kill 100 enemies without dying means go patrol cosmodrome and Melee kill stuff then kill stuff however you want. Also do the weekly. You can't do the highest difficulty yet but the regular one should give you like 150 towards your rank.

Just rank up the vanguard so you can use marks to buy armor and then start doing raids

Keep joining lvl30 weeklies until you find people willing to carry you. Get those 9 strange coins. 5. DestinyLFG - find person to carry you through the first two levels of the Crota Raid. You can get easy Lvl 30 Raid Gear this way and also Oversoul Edict and Abyss Defiant. Lots of people can solo the first two parts, and we all love to show off, so it shouldn't be hard to find someone. This part is the best "loophole" for fast leveling. It's fun to have a Grimoire 1400 character running practically full raid gear that you can get in basically 25 minutes. 6. Get an exotic helmet from Xur. Get exotic engram from Xur. If no good, shard it and use it to level your purchase from Xur. More Tips: Do NOT level any Vanguard gear past 29 Light. Raid gear starts at light level 30. So just swapping over, you win. This way you save a lot on materials. If you start a second character, remember Vanguard commendations transfer over, so you can purchase that Helm or Chest piece sooner than you think. Do not stick to a faction until you've hit at least Rank 3 with Vanguard. When you decrypt items you will inevitably get legendary items for another class. When you get 2 or more gear for another class, that's when you should start another character. I did these steps for my wife. Her first character level 31 in one week.
