I don't think using features of the room cheesing. So if someone solos the abyss with a warlock or titan by jumping on the rocks at each lamp, is that cheesing? Using terrain and in game obstacles is just part of the game. Anyone who has played long enough knows that if bungie didn't want you on the lamp, they would have patched it by now. They blocked getting under the platform on the archon priest. So if using the environment to your advantage is a cheese, bungie spent way too much time designing levels because they could have just made everything one big open area.
