It's possible to get the tank lined up in a way so that you can keep firing at it while it can't hit you. It only gives access to fire on one side, so you can't blow up all the feet, but I'd expect Black Hammer would make short work of the tank by the endless supply of precision shots to the already disabled feet. Meanwhile the tank tries firing at you, but keeps hitting the mountain / hill in the middle.
