Prove to us this is a reoccurring issue... prove that it really happens aside from the time your buddy told you that he experienced. I'm assuming you were on a rant and he told you this happened to fuel your fire.

If you can't control the "glitch", which was most likely a one time thing isn't cheating. I was doing HC a few weeks and shot off two rockets, looked at my ammo and saw I still had all my heavy.
