If you look at the base stats of one the range is a load of crap ( I think I have my Un upgraded on on my hunter) it's the rerolling of perks that makes the gun shoot that far

doesn't change the facts that bungie can't balance anything for shit... a shotgun is cqb, not mid to long range snipe fest. can't even melee anymore

The gun is pretty balanced considering that the rolls are random, so you expect them to take the perks of one specific gun that you have x amount of chance of getting which could end up with you having crappier perks at the end of. Your argument is invalid sir. That 'fact' is opinion
