Let's use the analogy of water.
Azrael is vapour
Jesus is ice
God is water
They're the same thing, but they've different properties and potentials which make them different, but closely linked things.

I can agree with that analogy to a degree. One I've always used is the egg. An egg has a shell, the albumen (white), and yolk. Three separate parts of one thing. To answer your other question, there's no way to know. There are Christian Jews and Christian Arabs. There are also Muslim Americans and Jews practicing Judaism in America.
