Titan Swordbearers
Hey Everyone! I just tried running sword on Crota Normal, I think all the Hunters are getting tired of carrying our asses! I am a level 32 Titan and i was running the swords so slow. I was lucky to get in 2 hits with the the thing before he got up and slapped my ass. I would be pretty close to start hitting him right as he knelled. I would spam right trigger but only get in two smacks. Are there any Titans out there who have perfected the art of slappin' da Crota?

I can usually hit crota 3-4 times, usually 4, but can't do that on hard too much (My team actually said I was too good at hitting crota and asked me to be worse XD because I just started whacking and he got mad) I'm usually the best one in the team with it, so no matter my class I do it, but Titan's my main, so... yeah. It takes a lot of practice with your team to get timing down. We usually have everyone fire their rockets and as I see the first volley whiz past, that's when I go. Just have to get it all down and soon you shall be the sword master =3

I don't have a hunter and I run the sword for my raid teams and I can kill him in two swords in hard and one sword on normal

All 3 classes all 3 55% dmg done on crota 1st sword 2 downs!! But ill use RB RB RT RB RT sometimes another RT depends if primairy keeps him down that extra .5 sec 2nd sword 2nd down i either do RB only or RT depends how far he is then ogres. Done with all 3, classes (titan bubble ftw boomer and me love you mucho)

4 smashes each down with my titan hunter or warlock. Get gud....

I run sword for my group every week. I main a Titan. Swordbearer'so touch is helpful and I usually max agility. I also anticipate the rockets. Titan jumps are a little slower than hunters so start jump as soon as you either see the first rocker or slightly before that. Crota shouldn't(he can because of glitches) take any notice of you once he starts taking damage.

I've learned that spamming the trigger jams up and you don't that many hits in. You have to find a rhythm of smacks and you can get a lot more in.

I don't have a hunter and I have successfully ran the sword on HM and normal with many many times with my titan and warlock

Its easy with any class, NM or HM.

Max out speed and armor. Spam the jump button. Get good timing. Just as good as any other character doing the sword lol

Destroyed Crota a few times as sword bearer with my Titan, I jump in air while rockets hit Crota and then I swing towards him and get atleast 3 hits. Sometimes 4 if I need to

I'll grab it when current sword bearer goes down

Spec with max agility and armor. Also use the control jump instead of height. You'll move faster while in air. Beat crota on Hard a few times with titan.

2 RisposteWhen I run it on my Titan (on hard) I make sure someone distracts boomers with a bubble and then I wait on the rock on the right side. Once I get on the rock I let everyone know to shoot rockets and as soon as I see them I jump up. The timing is hard but after a while it's really easy. I'd go for 3 hits using RT while running coward. Rains blow perk increases melee attack speed so that always helps.

You gotta jump, swing in the air to propell yourself further, land then press forward with the left joystick and spam R2. You'll get hits in faster when you push forward/up.

1 RispondiModificato da Craig da best: 3/4/2015 9:11:51 PMNever swordbearer on a titan but these tips should help with all characters struggling to get there hits in 1) agility matters the higher it is the faster you swing so max it out (you don't need recovery for the crota fight anyway) a lot of the new dlc weapons have lightweight (+2 agility) abys defiant has it so does sword breaker use them 2) hold forward on the left thumb stick when slamming you slam faster 3) use armour that increases melee attack speed the more you're wearing the better 4) timing ,try to slam once he starts to kneel, not once he's already down

2 RisposteMy teams main sword bearer is a Defender Titan and outclasses most Hunters I've seen. He took down Crota in 1 sword.

Honestly with a good strat (ie. Titan bubble aggro) it can be done with any character. I've done it swordbearing with my warlock and titan

I've done him on normal a few times and have done him on Hard too. Personally I stick with a slash, smash, smash, smash combo each down. Quick and safe. I like to jump-jet quite high when I'm jumping from the side rocks, like straight up so I can see him getting hit and he can't hit me. Then drop and hit him. Timing takes some practice but its not hard. I'd like to say I did him first run when I first tried Titan on hard, but someone else died at the worst possible moment and ruined everything. Did him on second. Proud.

My main is warlock and sometimes I'll run it for some normal groups and I hate the glide sucks balls I love it doing it with my titan super fun I wanna practice in hard

Boost your agility and push your left stick toward Crota each time you hit. When you tell your team to shoot you better be jumping up. I only use Titans and I have no issues using the sword.

I've gotten 4 hits in but to be safe I would stick with 3
