But master chief is shown to be friendly with people like arbiter, cortana, Johnson, and keys often exchanging a sarcastic remark of some kind. And he welcomes companion ship in a way as shown with his excellent teamwork with arbiter. The only reason he'd prefer to run solo as to not put the life of his fellow comrade in danger, hunters are more solitaire than that. They hardly exchange monologue with fire teams. Even conversation with their ghost is rare.
