So apparently "KirmitTHEfrog", the guy who deleted the kid's characters over SharePlay recently, is innocent.

Complete bullshit. He's deleted 7+ characters complete with exotics etc. through shareplay since their update on the PS4 in October of 2014.

Don't know nor do I really care. If he did it then he's a dbag both because it is a douche thing to do to anyone and it is especially extra douche to do it to a little kid since kids are so naive when it comes to the real world. If he didn't do it then it sucks that he is being blamed for something he didn't do. I'm a misanthrope and human life has very little significance to me but to wish death on a guy for this? Wow, even I wouldn't sink that low. Truthfully this whole thing really isn't that big a deal and is just the latest example of overblown things that go "viral" and show how illogical the human species is. Nearly half the world's population lives in poverty with a good portion of them not even being able to eat on a regular basis (or if they choose to eat on a regular basis they don't have adequate shelter) and I doubt most of the people all outraged over this incident give a crap about that. People get slaughtered on a daily basis for things out of their control (like their ethnicity) and most in the western world don't care. The NSA is spying on everyone illegally and most don't care. But hey, a kid loses his game progress because of some jackass and lookout, it's time to grab the pitchforks! Yes, it sucks for this kid with what happened and I wish for his sake it didn't but it it as much of a "first world problem" as you can have. Oh and all the people (I saw a bunch on the weekend when this drama broke) trashing the kid and saying he got what he deserved are idiots. HE IS ELEVEN. I am sure all of you at that age did things you shouldn't have or trusted people you shouldn't have and got screwed over so don't act like the eleven year old should have the wisdom of a 40 year old.

Story is bull crap. I am sure he was in an accident. Doesn't matter, the first incident happens he day before the crash. So it is irrelevant. Additionally the most recent happened well after he returned to work. No way he is in a well enough state of mind to go to work, and not know who is on his ps4 account. This guy is a complete little bitch for hiding behind his mommy. I would respect this troll a little note if he owned up for his actions. In addition to the "victim" the kid tried to cheat the system. I do not feel sorry for him. It is a sad story, but he should not be rewarded by Bungie for being tricked by an @sshole who trolled him while trying to cheat! I am not heartless, the kid crying at the end did pull at the heart strings. But it does not change the fact that he tried to cheat and cheating is cheating.

And feel the karma of losing his shit. Kid gets back only what he lost. And learns not to cheat or trust internet strangers. That was all that was needed.
