You said you'd do the same thing as the adult in the OP. If that's true then you're a bad person. There's really not a lot of gray area here. An adult response to the kid's behavior, if you disapprove of it, is to report him. Tricking him, and deleting his account is wrong no matter how you try to rationalize it.
