What would happen?
What would happen if you have the eidolon ally in your primary slot and then an exotic special/heavy weapon equipped and then upgrade the eidolon ally to the necrochasm? Would you have two exotics equipped at the same time?

No. It makes it so you have no primary weapon and 10 weapons in your primary inventory.
