I believe it's their but is more for your own personal support when you need it. It isn't mandatory to always have it. But it can boost your confidence and maybe motivation. I've seen friends who get a GF then turn into Douche bags. Acting like they are better than others basically. Seems like a side effect for some people. I've seen my parents, I know love doesn't mean you always have that special feeling. But it is that you'd do anything for them. Unless they are controlling, then that's not good. If they take advantage of your love, watch out.
