Just out of curiosity, why is heterosexuality considered default?

Because that's the way society has dictated thus far. It's nothing that we, our generation, did wrong but it is our generation that is going to have to deal with it. I would think that the goal is to eventually reach the point of having no "default" and accepting everyone for who they are but these are the growing pains to getting there. I will admit that on these matters, I am mostly ignorant and find myself in the "sit back and listen to others directly affected by it talk about it" stage of learning. I just felt like chiming in ITT. It's something I still have a hard time talking about because I [b]don't[/b] know enough about the subject.
