uh huh...
If you don't have friends, then run a couple 40s and when you find a coherent team, invite em in. Don't dumb down the difficulty.
• That was sincere advice since you weren't listening to the criticisms of matchmaking 🤷‍♂️ that's how a lot of people (myself include) built up friends list, going back to D1. Run with some competent people, invite em to chat and run more stuff

So Done but not Done Done? The way you conglomerate players together on there, is not how it works on PC, and hasnt been that way since before Steam even started to dominate the social aspect of gaming on PC. There's too many different platforms, and too many players who do SOLO play on PC, statisticly more than half the playerbase has never even done a Raid, not one, and LFG is a terrible joke to the PC side. For the longest time you had to manually add people to your friends list to even get a strike going. The concept of any mmos and shooters is to be able to casually join groups in most cases, PC developers GET THIS and for them and their massive player bases it works. But also, game design in which you can fail a strike because someone dropped out and you no longer have a special weapon with a non-elemental "element" mod on it is broken, by any reasoning of game development. You can go in with the wrong element vs singe and still do ok, but that's at least applying artificial difficulty to the game, what they did with barriers was gate the activity, and break how it can be handled in an unfriendly state. There are OTHER ways to make a game challenging without breaking your core mechanics, This was not one of them, and what I have offered as a suggestion, does basically that. You can disagree with that, that's fine, but you came into this already trying to be negative about it simply because you didn't want it despite it having Zero negative effect on how anyone currently plays the game, and I am not bashful about matching snark with snark.

  • I said I was done, but since you wrote a book.... Maybe encourage some of your clan mates to jump in with ya, instead of being on some game flying in circles with a plane (just checked out your linked twitch). You're a bit off. Not having the right gear and mods absolutely increases the difficulty and many missions on other (read: full fledged) mmos follow that. There are set objectives, set obstacles. All you have to do is be appropriately leveled and have the right shit on. Its not hard. Not wanting to upgrade your weapons and run appropriate weapons and armor is exactly why Matchmaking would fail...hard. I'm not trying to jump into a strike and be stuck with someone that doesn't grasp that concept or wants to be hardheaded. I sure as hell don't want dropped into one that's halfway over trying to fumble around and wait for another person to eventually drop in. This whole thing is squarely a YOU problem, because you're too damn immature to do a quick swap on your weapons and apparently pretty insufferable on the comms too.
