The first two tiers are easily done by everyone, and there's a TINY gap in the 2nd tier that prevents you from getting 100,000 points to earn pinacle rewards.
Either open up everything for matchmaking so people can join up for a higher scoring nightfall, or modify the difficulty of tier 2 so that SLIVER of 10,000 points to get to 100,000 is plausible (and not in some snide passive aggressive way) with matchmaking.
Working your ass off to get well under the time constraints only to find out that you are simply being shorted the extra points is pretty terrible.
And remove the stupid Barriers. Make them susceptible to grenade or supers or something that anyone can carry into battle, but has a required cost of cool-downs or energy. Make it so that you have to melee to stun an unstoppable but at a high risk, Something ELSE other than requiring specific mods and gear to go in.

4 commentairesOptional, yes But make it have requirements, for the 980 for example, must be over 970 and have at least 2 champion mods equipped.
-
1 commentaireNope sorry bud can’t do that. Optional matchmaking that benefits solo players or anybody W without a steady fireteam is a big no no See to you it sounds like simple logic, but to that minority of neck bears elitists that think complete if an activity that you haven’t makes them superior from their mothers basement, it sounds like a terrible terrible idea Should optional matchmaking be made available for every single activity? Of course it should Would it affect anybody that didn’t use it? Not in the slightest Would it mean bungie have to dumb down content? No more than lfg and guided games does Would it increase the number of people doing end game content? Definitely Is that beneficial to the game and it’s life cycle? Of course Is this allowed from a toxic elitist opinion? Hell no
-
Maybe with locked gear and a requirement that you have at least one of the champion mods equipped. I've had runs in 920 where neither other person had a single mod between them. I sat back, watched the unstoppable ogres destroy them, and then killed them just to make a point. It will happen at higher levels, some people don't realize it's being selfish to "play how I want" in these situations or just don't care that they are.
-
1 commentaireAt least 960s right now. 980s maybe not but if they keep raising the light levels, the 980s will be redundant probably in a few weeks when a lot have hit 980 with their artifact, regardless if they have hit 970 from pinnacle drops. By next season 980s will be easy when that will be everyone’s base light basically after a week or two.

2 commentairesThe only reason the "option" sounds mildly interesting to anyone is because it's not in the game right now for you to actually see how well it works. On paper, some shit just sounds good. If the option was in game, this thread would be about how you still can't get nightfall ordeals done because randies don't give a -blam!- and just want you to do the work for you.
-
6 commentairesI don't think letting a bunch of 964 casual players matchmake into 980 nightfalls would be fun for anyone.
-
16 commentairesNope. I've went into the 940s and had low levels/people not knowing what to do. The 60s take a little coordination, and 80s definitely take coordination. If you don't have friends, then run a couple 40s and when you find a coherent team, invite em in. Don't dumb down the difficulty. The 100k is for pinnacle drops, it shouldn't be a gimme to anyone
-
4 commentairesI would agree, but menagarie made me re think about matchmaking in stuff like raids and nightfalls. Jesus, everyone is like a 2 year old trying to play videogames, always dying left and right.
-
2 commentairesIf those activities had matchmaking i would never touch them, i watch enough blueberries struggle in the sundial i cant imagine them even attempting a pinnacle activity.
-
4 commentairesYou shouldn't be expecting to hit 100,000 points on a Hero-difficulty Ordeal. Strange Terrain is probably the only known exception that allows you to hit that score threshold on that difficulty. Almost every pinnacle drop in the game was designed with the idea that most players would bring a fireteam of their own into a really tough activity to earn the reward, hence Legend difficulty and its no-matchmaking with the equipment lock. I'd definitely not trust matchmaking's RNG if it were a thing on Master difficulty. The Champions are bad enough.

My favorite thing about lfg is when the random dies one time and then quits, so then I have to backout and try to find another person. Then by the time the new 3rd joins the other guy has backed out. So now I find another and it’s been 45 minutes and I still haven’t done the nightfall.
-
Yeah the OPTION would be nice.

1 commentaire
remove the stupid barriers
Have the weapon or have the mod on your artifact for the grenade disruption. What are you complaining about it’s meant to be difficult.
-
1 commentaireInstead of complaining about the game because you can’t do it correctly, acquire the gear necessary to complete the activity, understand how to use the gear required, and then maybe you can complete the activity without sounding like an entitled whiner. The game is meant to be difficult to receive the high end gear. It is not Bungies fault you are not able to complete it. And your request for opening the nightfalls up for matchmaking at 950 and 980 is so you can be carried? If that’s the case that’s the worst reason for them to even consider doing that.
-
5 commentairesJust so you can get stuck on the first champion bc no one brought barrier/unstoppable no thanks bro
-
9 commentairesClearly you’ve never done one of the top two tiers of nightfalls. No, they can’t be done by just anyone and particularly not a random group. You need coordination.
-
Just get your friends and do it, or LFG. And barriers aren’t a problem at all. They literally give you the anti barrier mod as one of the first things in the seasonal artifact. I don’t understand...

1 commentaireModifié par Jericho Drifting : 1/5/2020 2:05:57 PMIt is possible to get 100 on a Hero Nightfall (through an absurd amount of repetition or just luck of course), but I agree that at least the legend Nightfall should have matchmaking since the gravity of Nightfall has shifted to this heroic strike playlist feel. I can understand the Master being firewalled and almost prefer it that way, almost makes it feel like a Nightfall, but Legend I agree should have matchmaking. Edit: And I personally dunno who the he'll thought Champions were a good idea, it seems more of an inconsiderate effort to try and get you to change your load out than anything.
-
i was playing nightfall at 920 matching up with randoms... we did it like it was nothing and we were there just counting down the timer then i just started thinking that wouldnt it be great if there was a pop up window appearing and asking if you want to try this mode at harder difficulty with the team you just played, and you have 15 sec to press accept or just press to cancel and leave. im sure all 3 of us would of accepted too, this needs to happen.
-
1 commentaireI'd rather it be optional matchmaking where I can choose to matchmake or choose to go in solo/two man.
-
Optional matchmaking would be best. Bungie is too stubborn to implement.
-
2 commentaires980 should remain locked from matchmaking. I agree that 950 should have matchmaking, but they’d have to remove the locked loadout modifier or you couldn’t carry the blueberries. There’d also need to be a light level barrier of 960 minimum or you can’t access it.
-
At the least open up the 950 nf to matchmaking. Not that much more difficult than 920.
-
3 commentairesIts annoying when you hop into a 920 nightfall and your random teammates don't have appropriate mods on the appropriate weapons. I just go to orbit. Sometimes I'll be nice and stay in. A better alternative would be to have match making but lock players out if they don't have the mods equipped
-
4 commentairesI’d be in agreement if I hadn’t seen just how inept random players can be. Take this weeks NF Savathuns Song. You need Unstoppable and Barrier. My two random team mates had Barrier but they didn’t have Unstoppable. This was the 920 NF version. I was running both but decided to try an experiment. I removed my unstoppable once the activity started and now nobody had it. Guess which team wiped at the 1st unstoppable ogre? Yep. This is why matchmaking must have locked loadouts for all players and must have specific power level requirements. In other words the game has to make sure those that play it have the right gear. That in itself is why matchmaking at higher difficulty should never occur.
-
I agree completely. I complete the 920 Nightfall with randoms every week. It isn’t difficult. It is time to open the rest up.
