I’ll say this, there are good animes and bad ones. No matter what you watch, don’t apply your opinion to anime as a whole.
That’s like watching one live action movie, and then applying your opinion to that movie to every live action movie.
Anyway, generally speaking, I tend not to like anime, but there are a few good ones. Flip Flappers, & Shiki being my favorites.

This 100%, not all anime is alike. Some of it is good, some of it is trash. It's just like every other medium of entertainment, just more niche.

As someone who dislikes most animes, I always find it silly when someone says they dislike anime as a whole. Anime isn’t a genre like action movies or sci-fi.

Same, its similar to music, just because you got a bad first taste doesn't mean that the whole genre of that song is necessarily bad.

Plus anime isn’t a genre. It’s more of an art style.
