Just got sent the email link, clicked the "claim your reward" button and linked the accounts. It did it for us.. Didn't have to do anything special as such. Id already completed ttk story and killed oryx a few days ago. It'd be a bit stupid if thats a requirement as isn't the point to help a friend get to that. Im sure it came up on fiances screen we were linked, after that went to the Tower and it directed us to the speaker. The only thing that might be different for us is both mine and fiances consoles are on the same IP address. Sorry i can't be of more help :)

Hmm. Strange. Many users have been unable to play the quest. How did you go about completing the step... "Purchase and play the Taken King." This info would be very much appreciated.
