So my friend and I have extra separate accounts for security purposes and whatnot on our consoles, and we figured we'd see if they were eligible, since neither account has played Destiny.
I referred his side account with my main, and he referred my side account with his main.
We went and accepted the invitations, got Bungie accounts for those side accounts, and linked them up. If it's my understanding we shouldn't have even been able to accept the referral had we not been eligible.
However, it says for both of us that we need to either play TTK or link out accounts, which we both did today.
Was this a fruitless effort or was something wrong?

28 commentairesHello Terrible Comedy, Do both accounts own Destiny: The Taken King? To qualify as a referee, "Players may qualify for Referee status for 7 days when playing Destiny: The Taken King for the first time after purchase," and to qualify as a veteran "Veteran status is granted to players upon playing Destiny: The Taken King for the first time." Please Note: An account must own The Taken King

Big picture i think this is alot more simple one game per account. Not one game per console...i think. Atleast thats the way it seems. They dont want vet players using loophole means to get this stuff and would rather us buy another copy of the game. Its the point. Then there's the very strict 7 day policy....so from what I gathered buy another copy of the game for your alt account of dont get it

For the record, I was having this problem (as I earlier posted). I and my friend both submitted a complaint card to bungie from the Refer-A-Friend page and they fixed it for us within a couple hours. Thanks Bungie, we greatly appreciate it!
