This is the kind of thing that really pisses me off about the halo community, the people get so attached to the fiction, and can't just get around the fact that it's a story based around numbers and pre-order sales that estimate how much attention they'll care about.
It's a game based on shooting each other until we die. The things that people put relevance into...
I can't believe that people that work in video game companies have to put up with this sort of stuff.

While I hope no one is offended, I'm sure some will be. I try to look at things from a realistic point of view based off science and facts. Religion was born from man's ego. If everyone could get along and stop trying to force their way of life on others, we wouldn't need religion. Don't get me wrong, now. I am a spiritual person, but I am also agnostic. I hope that there is some form of afterlife and that our lives have purpose. Hopefully we will find the answers one day. That's just my ego talking though..

The death of story is exactly what is wrong with so many games and movies these days. Sure, some people play games to blow shit up, which is cool, but some of us do it because we want to see and feel another world.

Fiction or not, characters can be role models. Halsey is intelligent and has a profound scientific curiosity. I share her curiosity. While she has not done anything for the real world scientifically, she is a character I can relate to and her actions make her a worthy role model.

I know multiplayer is a big deal...the story doesn't have to suffer, especially in the books where multiplayer ins't a concern.
