I have a build i'm thinking about trying. it focuses around a gun called the cassidy. It would drop sheer amounts of damage and you'd also be super tanky for a good while. Depending if you are geared right. Anyway here is the main setup I was thinking. these are essential to the build. ~cassidy. What makes this gun so special? it's only got 2 rounds in it after all before a reload. well let me explain. First it gets a damage boost when your closer. Then any kill with it while your signature is active increases the time it's active by almost 20%. which is super important. Last is kills with this gun have a 23% chance to auto fill the clip. meaning no reload. ~survivor link. boosts your damage resistance up by 80%. Still theory crafting here but I think the 80% is based upon how much armor you have. so the more tanky you are outside this ability the more effective it would be when switched on. ~one is none. Highly underrated talent. headshots have a 50% chance to proc that bullet not being used. Here is the kicker though. every single pellet that is in a single shot can proc this effect. meaning essentially with a shotgun you have a MUCH higher chance of proccing this. What does the build end up doing? Basically. You pop survior link to start the fight once your close. then you aim for the head. Because pump action guns do SO much more damage then any other kind of shotgun your likely to kill the target. if you do you might not have spent that bullet. and you would extend how long your 80% DR stays up. allowing you to stay in close. if you don't kill the target there is still a good chance you didn't spend the bullet anyway due to one is none. Hopefully you see where i'm going with this. It's a build that would make you god levels of tank for extended periods of time with disgusting amounts of damage dropped. the build only gets better when you spec gear for health on kills, critical hit damage, shotgun damage etc. I don't think it would have much use inside pve. But I imagine if this actually works the way I feel it will that we ill have the next big balance problem in pvp. Next to what the Midas was capable of pre patch.

  • Love that gun, just wish it did a bit more damage. I don't use it right though lol I have shotties for panic mode, so I pull out that golden beauty and blast away, just to miss both shots haha. Would love to see this build in action, if you ever upload some gameplay let me know!

  • I use the sasg-12 that the challenge mode AI Rush with. 20% chance to reload on kill and removes status effects on kill which pays off when up in their faces. 13 or so shells with a 100% extended mag and bonus reload speed which is already insane as it just pops in a mag instead of hand loading. Love that panic gun!

  • That gun, holy balls. Its fun. If I ever get a high end one, game over lol I'm more keen on 870s though, love me a good pump action. Bit better damage per shot.

  • Yeah they are better damage. But I use it as an oh shit panic! Can't afford to waste time aiming or pausing between shots or to reload :) just metaphorically close my eyes and wait for the dust to settle while firing away

  • I don't see this being broken in PvP, at all. If you're using a shotgun I'd hope they have the brains to shoot at you from a distance. Running, using cover, and using other crowd control abilities(stuns, blinds, ect.) is an easy counter to the 20 second duration of the Signature skill. PvE, however, seems like it could be a blast with this set up :p

  • Most players I've seen don't use their abilities or nades during a rogue fight. Aside from healing abilities, pulse, and signature skill that is. And also because you start out as being non hostile it lets you get close enough to kick off the build in your favor. Care to elaborate why it would work in pve? Enemies can have much higher health and damage then you can.

  • I know that. Good health and armor is needed. What I'm saying is I think your armor value might have an impact on how much survivor link can help. After all it does effect your ballistic shield too. I wouldn't know how to test this. I just feel like I've seen people tank more then me while its activated

  • Yeah but your armour rating dictates how much damage you actually take. So in theory the higher armour the more defence buff you get.

  • Still spec into high amounts of health. Does no good to stack armor if you don't have a health pool for it, that goes for every game.

  • I've got 30-40 hours in and the game is still new to me :p It's my "Oh shit!" button and I rarely have to use it. But when I do, nothing does damage xD
