What do you like and why do you like it? Does your squad have a mix of everything or do you have similar builds?

Dps with 175k dps, 70k health, 59,5 crit chance and 144% crit.

Currently running more of a tanky balanced build. 133k dps, 88k hp, just over 4k armor (56% resistance), and 28k skillpower. Most of my gear is specced into improving pulse, as it's the only ability I'm running pretty much 100% of the time. Other ability alternates between sticky bomb (bfb for pvp/hard, flashbang for challenge mode), smart cover, and first aid. Mostly smart cover though.

2 RepliesHow good are the tank skills? Are they useful? I hope to buy The Division soon, so that's why I'm asking.

1 ReplyCrit-heal dps combo melts through everything
-
90 k DPS 68 k HP 13 k electronics
-
Medic build with 24K skill power. Keeps the boys on the front line stocked with ammo (support station) and quick heals every 30 seconds. Primary DPS still sitting at 97k so I'm no pansy either

Edited by Vardnax: 3/20/2016 7:39:36 AMDoes anyone focus on skill power for the most part? How does it work out? Do your sticky bombs, turrets and seeker mines melt enemies on your level or higher? Are the cooldown times still too long?

Two of my favorites Team support: Support station with ammo Smart cover with health regen Add the talent to increase deployables but 10% on kills Pyro/cleaner build Seeker mine with airburst Turret with dragons breath Talent incinerate(I believe it's called this) 30% chance to burn nearby enemies while applying burn to a target The pyro build can be an absolute beast in the right circumstances. Like when a wave a enemies spawns in together, or for those pesky lmb scouts. Haven't tried in the dark zone yet though.

DPS but all of my skills are healing so I dont have to worry about stamina and just go for firearms
-
I've been running life support station and smart cover trapper mod, while switching between the medic and security signature. I love running support.
-
Im very glad to see others are balanced, because specifically going for a single branch is fun and all but a huuuuge disadvantage for a situation such as DZ. If you coordinate your attack then you do have a chance, But who wins? Balanced? Or one tank, one special, one DPS?

6 RepliesI feel like tanking is completely useless in pve and only slightly better in pvp. Even with 150k health npcs will rip through you instantly and high DPS builds can kill you in a single mag.
-
Been leaning more towards a firearms stamina build.
-
My priority has been towards scavenging while I need as many good drops as I can get. At 196%! In just a few days have had 5-6 high end gear drop. Mostly in dz but even one in PVE roaming! This build was my first as I figured I would need it eventually to help complete my various builds

2 RepliesDoes anyone know if the Ballistics Shield pulse mod applies the pulse effect, or just highlights the enemy?

21 RepliesI have a build i'm thinking about trying. it focuses around a gun called the cassidy. It would drop sheer amounts of damage and you'd also be super tanky for a good while. Depending if you are geared right. Anyway here is the main setup I was thinking. these are essential to the build. ~cassidy. What makes this gun so special? it's only got 2 rounds in it after all before a reload. well let me explain. First it gets a damage boost when your closer. Then any kill with it while your signature is active increases the time it's active by almost 20%. which is super important. Last is kills with this gun have a 23% chance to auto fill the clip. meaning no reload. ~survivor link. boosts your damage resistance up by 80%. Still theory crafting here but I think the 80% is based upon how much armor you have. so the more tanky you are outside this ability the more effective it would be when switched on. ~one is none. Highly underrated talent. headshots have a 50% chance to proc that bullet not being used. Here is the kicker though. every single pellet that is in a single shot can proc this effect. meaning essentially with a shotgun you have a MUCH higher chance of proccing this. What does the build end up doing? Basically. You pop survior link to start the fight once your close. then you aim for the head. Because pump action guns do SO much more damage then any other kind of shotgun your likely to kill the target. if you do you might not have spent that bullet. and you would extend how long your 80% DR stays up. allowing you to stay in close. if you don't kill the target there is still a good chance you didn't spend the bullet anyway due to one is none. Hopefully you see where i'm going with this. It's a build that would make you god levels of tank for extended periods of time with disgusting amounts of damage dropped. the build only gets better when you spec gear for health on kills, critical hit damage, shotgun damage etc. I don't think it would have much use inside pve. But I imagine if this actually works the way I feel it will that we ill have the next big balance problem in pvp. Next to what the Midas was capable of pre patch.

Awwwww yeah here's my thread right here. Favorite part of RPGs are builds, and division does it wonderfully. I go GLASS CANNON DPS with a sniping focus. My stamina is DIRT, but my dps and skill power are above average. I roll with the med pack(ammo and skill regenerate mod) and the Smart Cover (pulse mod) these stack nicely with my crit chance gear. I find a good perch, and set up camp. Challenge mode enemies MELT. And the damage resist more than makes up for my low health stat. Skill cooldown from medpack keeps my Smart Cover always available, granting me almost 100% crit chance. And a stupid amount of damage resist, all because of my high skill power. Ok I'm not gonna go into my talents or gear stats. I started to, but -blam!- that. For reference, the only gear I use that isn't high end is a harness and knee pads. So my gear is all high level, with mods, that increase critical hit stats, and smg damage (for my kick ass vector)

1 ReplyI use the medic over heal, and Smart Cover. I tend to fit well with whatever group I end up in. Everyone loves the support guy, plus I'm accurate and smart enough to deal my share of damage.

Edited by Heart of Sand: 3/19/2016 10:37:53 PMTaaaaank, full tank any and every game. That involves Stamina for me, and Electronics for my Ballistics Shield.
-
Kinda Tanky/DPS My high End vector does 120k DPS 9378 DMG got 53k in stamina and 15k electronics. I use the Tech signature, med bag and turret with stun rounds.
-
I've enjoyed being a glass cannon. I do a lot of dps, but if I'm not careful I will die in seconds.
-
Building a bit of a DPS build but I have to keep at least 1950 stamina so I can use my 18% armour destruction on my assault rifle. Tried to build for pure damage which got me 10k more dps but without the armour destruction I was actually dealing less.
-
Kind of a mix between medic and DPS, focusing more on the medic side.
-
1 ReplyI'm going for a tactical build
-
I keep around 2000 stamina and 2400+ firearms with 1000 electronics. Hybrid I guess.

4 RepliesI really want a tank build that feels useful, the problem is when I do run shield I feel I'm gimping my team rather than helping. I just feel everyone is better off going full on DPS.
