As a guy with maxed both. No it isn't step up the damage explosive rounds and firefly are way better and max 300 ain't shy anymore. (This is coming from a guy who once thought VoC was a godly weapon)

I love the Voc too, Lvl 32 is one shot head shot on thralls in CE. Although the badger is pretty good with the perks, it's fire rate is slow.

Even with the 2 perks? I have VoC and I do like it but feel the 300 attack starts to lack with Crota's End and can imagine it being useless in hard mode...

I'll probably run my vex for hard mode

The solar damage makes up for the two perks and it's fully automatic. But if you're going to do hard mode Crota 331 Attk weapons are suggested so I say max it out anyway.
