Well everyone can stop telling this guy no, with the new iron banner armour he'll be able to get to 30 for sure, then an exotic, which will upgrade passed 30 light, he'll be at roughly 30.2.

No, he will not. IB will only give you two pieces with the ability to get you to 30. With an exotic, you will still need two raid items to get to 30.

Not if he does the iron banner for two months, the items change each time it opens... And with the new exotic update he'll be able to get more light. So yes, he will be able to.

Well, as far as retarded goes.... you might need to look in the mirror. That's exactly what I am saying. The other person is under the impression that the whole set from IB will get him to 30, no raid gear required.

That doesn't specifically say that you can only wear two, it says that there's two slots for the armour.

As in the type of weapons you can get from IB. The event and the merchant had limited offerings, they are expanding what you can get.

Whatever man, you'll be able to get to 30 with full iron banner would be pointless if they didn't allow it, what are they going to do when the level cap is raised to 32 and every piece of armour is useless except raid and exotic? They're going to release iron banner gear that reaches level 32, use your brain, man.

1) Level 32 is not tied to armor like it is currently. All armor for the next expansion is available to everyone, regardless if you bought the DLC or not. 2) Bungie already said that only two pieces of IB armor can be used to get to 30.

You're stupid if you think they won't make iron banner armour capable of light level 32, it was their way of dealing with whiners who couldn't get to 30 and it'll be their way of dealing with whiners who can't get to 32. No, you can not reach level 30 with just IB gear, you need at least 1 piece of raid gear and an exotic.
