Level 32 and the Dark Below [DLC]
Hi all / Bungie,
just a quick and simple question: will I be able to reach Lvl 32 and gain the appropriate gear with high enough Light-Level without raiding?

Just a theory, but I think the IB chest and helm bits will get you to that point.

It's not that the raid is that hard on normal it's just the crappy RNG system. I kind of wish there were raid tokens or something to buy raid gear if you haven't been lucky enough to get the drops. It's really kind of a crappy system. I think I've completed it five times so far and only have one piece of raid armor. Some people have gotten full raid gear in that many tries and some people it took like thirty times or so. It's really kind of crappy. I didn't get raid armor this week so I have to wait for next week to try again.

41 RepliesWell everyone can stop telling this guy no, with the new iron banner armour he'll be able to get to 30 for sure, then an exotic, which will upgrade passed 30 light, he'll be at roughly 30.2.

2 RepliesRaids are fun but I hope they add raid marks / tokens and a raid gear vendor. I've not raided enough to complain about drops yet (3 raids, got boots + chest + VoC + shotty) but too many people seem to wait forever to get the set.

11 Repliesso i just got my last piece of raid gear to make me 30 and let me just say....i wasnt excited....the fact that I will have to do all this shit over again come december has been really discouraging....the game is not fun to play and just cuz you bump the max lvl by 2 wont make it any more fun...especially if you have to go through the same headaches as with the vog

7 RepliesBungie have stated they are adding Iron Banner gear that will let you get to lvl 30. Presumably that means they have talken on board people want an alternative route, and it might apply to lvl 32 as well.

I'd assume similar to now. New vendor will stock 31 light legendaries. Raid will drop 32 light gear. All will need new mats to level. They gotta keep everyone hooked. Even non raiders. :)

Don't think anyone but Bungie knows just yet. We know we can raise up exotics more, but will legendaries remain a "level 20" item? Or will there be higher versions of the same stuff like with lower tier armor?

I would say no but I'm sure the light levels for your current Exotic gear will be raised to the light cap of the new raid gear.

You will have to raid as IB will only give two pieces of exotic gear and honestly if you are only playing Destiny for crucible and the story missions you are really missing out on some good stuff. I know there is no matchmaking but the forums are a good place to find a team to run the vault.

12 RepliesSupposedly the updated Iron Banner event will offer gear that's equivalent to Raid gear. That being said, why would you need to be at maximum level if you're not playing the Raids? I thought it was the Raid missions on hard that require such high levels.

Pretty sure it's a no. I'd say you are lucky if you can even get to 30 without Raid.

I honestly doubt you will be able to reach level 32 without doing the raid. because I feel like the raid gear is the best and highest (stats wise) of the legendary gear you can get in the game.
