I dislike it greatly, the design is bland, there's no way any of the Cabal can fit on one other than Scions who never ride them and the left/right alternating fire sucks, overall the vehicle sucks. Pretty disappointing that Bungie failed to capture the iconic vehicle combat they were once known for.

I completely agree with you, having an alternating fire mode really hinders PVE. It is almost impossible to take advantage of the interceptor, it is supposed to be a tank and it doesn't give any advantage. I would think that Bungie would know how to incorporate vehicle combat. In other words the interceptor is useless, you can't use it for anything remotely important, the maps are too small or too full barriers that it is impossible to use with the alternating fire and if it is a future tank, wouldn't it give you any advantage? I am not saying I want to use it everywhere but hey at least I want to be able to use it and furthermore come up to some enemies and say SURPRISE!!! I think the best thing bungie could do with the interceptor is change the rockets from the sides and put a middle cannon, that would be helpful.

Absolutely spot on about Bungie completely botching the vehicle combat in the game. The vehicles are simply not right for vehicle combat, so to speak. They just feel lacking, like they are ill-suited to... being vehicles? I can't quite put my finger on it, but something just feels off.

You know, I never even thought about a Cabal fitting on one, though you do find them in that one Strike in their base. Kinda funny, but possibly a very strange yet significant oversight. We never even see enemies in them, which is also disappointing. Would like to fight AI Interceptors.

And we only fight Dreg's in Pikes like, twice.

... I am actually trying to remember the last time I have even seen a pike. I remember seeing them on that first moon mission (but can't find them on the moon now) and some strike... but that's it...

Moon mission is the only ones I can remember.

Edited by Blue A10: 10/3/2014 2:38:17 AMYou get to ride some for like, 5 minutes of sweet Pike on Vex action (in the Venus strike against the Archon Priest), and then invisible vehicle barriers. I even had that Pike event happen, and captured one for me and a buddy during a Strike, only to find out the cave up ahead had vehicle barriers. Somehow I found an abandoned Pike somewhere on the Moon and took it most of the way to Phogoth.
