How do you feel about the Interceptor?
Title. Curious of everyone's opinion.
Explain why you like or dislike it, or elaborate exactly how you feel if it can't be described as liking or disliking it.
I mostly mean the Interceptor in PvP, but PvE input would be interesting as well.

8 RepliesI dislike it greatly, the design is bland, there's no way any of the Cabal can fit on one other than Scions who never ride them and the left/right alternating fire sucks, overall the vehicle sucks. Pretty disappointing that Bungie failed to capture the iconic vehicle combat they were once known for.

Easy to use, easy to get kills with, easy to get sniped out of. Plain and simple, you don't want to go head on to the Interceptor unless you have a super ready. It's an effective tool if you use it to support your team and your team does the same to support you, but a rouge Interceptor drive may get that easy one kill, but leaves him/her open to getting sniped.

1 ReplyI like it, but the rockets shoot way too slow. I think even a few miliseconds decreased from reload time would make a world of difference. It's pretty.. blocky, too. It has almost no mobility. In a lot of ways it reminds me of the Wraith from Halo, just without a cannon.

1 ReplyIt's crap against a decent team. It's easy to snipe players out of it and it is a Super/Rocket magnet. Most players I see actually avoid it on Bastion and some even avoid it on First Light.

I hate how it is now they completely broke it when they decided to nerf it. Fires slow as shit moves slow as shit and the boost recharges slow as shit.

It's fine. Very helpful in one or two spots, but not something that is that important to the game.

I would like to see a slight boost to speed and a covered cockpit. Make it still possible to snipe from directly in front of it and this should make up for the need for a direct hit on a target and the large size.

3 RepliesI think we should have the Halo option of boarding and sabotaging it, and other vehicles, somehow. Don't think it could be grenades as they have a cool down.

It's like every underwater level in every game ever. Slow, hard to handle, and frustrating. Though I've gotten used to it. But really it's like trying to swim through mud and wet cement. -
The shots need a buff, the armor needs just a small nerf. It is a tank and I don't expect to be able to take it solo in foot, but shooting the driver with a golden gun or sniper and it barely moves their armor bar is just silly. Glad to see the rate of fire got nerfed down to what it is.
