I found myself going back to old Russia in explore mode quite alot, I think I will be playing the heck out of other unlocked zones too.

I know what you mean. One mission I got from the beacon required me to go scan a area. When I followed the icon it took me to a ledge!? I thought it was a bug until I look below and there was a platform that look like I could jump to. Then when I jumped down there was the opening to a cave?! Building? Anyway walked in the scanning thing started then I met a Fallen ogre with a giant sword that one hit killed me...once the actual game comes out I'll teach that ogre to not mess with this guy.

For one there not fallen but part of the hive. I also want to say we could get all the way up to 20 just from old Russia.
