It is my creation.
Its aim is to try to respond to a topic with the most relevant information, but it is nowhere near what I would consider "finished" yet, which is why it's a little screwy right now. It doesn't post in every topic, only the ones it can find something for on http://destiny.wikia.com, and even then, it will only ever post once in a single topic. It also doesn't bump topics either.
If it annoys you, don't hesitate to mute it by clicking its username and hitting mute. I'll be disabling it soon, though.

I thought it wasn't really a bot

ya i second the maybe a random joke here n there..... For the record, its kinda creepy. In Bungie We Trus7
-
How does it post without bumping the topic?
-
What I meant to say was that it won't necrobump a topic. It only looks at the topics on the first page (sorted by latest replies).
-
Date reader maybe? If date is so far back it won't post.
-
You should have it post random jokes too. Then I would unmute it. lol.
-
What, is it like Cleverbot?
-
Oh, ok. Haha. It just seemed weird because it was posting info that was totally not relevant to the topics of my threads. How does it 'decide' what links to post?
-
Currently it tokenises the subject of a topic into individual words by removing punctuation and excessive whitespace, then does some basic filtering to remove stop words (a, the, but, etc...), then queries the destiny.wikia.com API for search results, and posts the top 3. The problem is that its matching seemingly random words in articles, which isn't wrong per se, but the match it finds isn't really relevant to the topic on bungie.net. I have a few tricks up my sleeve for solving that, though.

Cool. I hope it works out for you.
-
It probably has a network or related terms and tries to find the best look-ups based off the content of the post and title.
-
That's what I assumed, but in one of my posts it posted a link to the Destiny Wiki's Glimmer page and someE3 gameplay, when I was talking about the possibility of preorder weapons :/

Artificial Intelligence is a delightfully wonderful subject, and it takes a lot of polishing to get it to the point where it can accurately analyze things :)

keyword search and then it correlates it.
