As I have said in the past on similar threads; while I completely understand that left handed people would like to play in their native orientation to create that option would involve a lot of time, energy and money as the entire UI and animations would need to be reworked. So since, without wishing to sound discriminatory, so few people are left handed (in terms of percentages) would that be the best use of of those resources?

Edited by TFOcelot: 10/22/2013 3:59:14 PMWhile I agree that implementing this would require resources that could be possibly better used elsewhere, I don't think that it will take up as much as you are thinking. Most of the changes would require just a model flip with the exception of text decals and the keyframe values for the animations could just be changed to the opposite hand (which might require more testing later). Though it is possible that I could be oversimplifying it in my head. Regardless, thank you for taking the time to state your opinion on the matter in a constructive and well thought out post. While I personally would love to see this implemented in first person shooters in the future, I would completely understand if it wasn't included in Destiny.

team fortress 2 has this option, the ui doesn't have to be changed at all. you're character just holds his gun the other way so only character animation needs to be mirrored, i still can't figure out why everyone thinks lefties see things backwards it doesnt really mater where the radar and ammo tracker are on the screen... i just want my character to hold his gun left handed and to pull the left trigger to fire my main gun, everything else can stay the same.
