Left handed characters in Destiny
An issue that's been brought up a lot in terms of first person shooters, especially ones that allow you to create your own avatar, is the option to choose to have your gun in your left hand during gameplay.
Seeing as Destiny is all about customization and personalization, and as a person who is left handed, I would really like to see the option to display my gun in my left hand, and also to have options available to shoot by pulling the left trigger without having to go southpaw (I learned how to play regular, so switching sticks is not gonna fly).
I know a lot of left handed gamers would really appreciate this relatively small feature and I think that it would add, for me at least, another level of immersion.

Although I'm right handed I totally agree, I even think it'd be fun playing with my rifle in my left hand :3 The last game that gave me that option was Ratchet Gladiator xD Awesome game.

I gotta say it may not be a big deal and I'm right handed but it would be really cool as a customization feature. I feel the deeper the level of customization the better.

I'm left handed, but it doesn't bother me that much... I guess I've gotten used to it. But having that option might help something!

2 RepliesAs I have said in the past on similar threads; while I completely understand that left handed people would like to play in their native orientation to create that option would involve a lot of time, energy and money as the entire UI and animations would need to be reworked. So since, without wishing to sound discriminatory, so few people are left handed (in terms of percentages) would that be the best use of of those resources?

In Greg Hastings paintball 2 they made it so you can switch hands ask you could shoot around right handed walls without making your while body visible, and out was made by some lower than bungie developers, i don't see why bungie can't do it if they could?

They should also let you have the ability to make your character tall or short or fat or skinneh. Doubt it though.

I am convinced Bungie has been dropping subtle hints that we WILL get our left and right handed modes in the concept art they leave. However because it is just concept art and not finished renders or anything shown from demonstrations, we shall keep a vale over it (maybe a... Night Vale - Sorry felt it was needed).
