It has no games besides pikmin 3 and super Mario bros u. I own the console, but there really isn't any incentives to own it yet. The same thing will happen to the Xbox one and ps4. Why buy a new console that lacks new games when you can buy or hold onto your current gen consoles and play the same games plus have access to its entire library of games.

But the PS4 and XBO are launching with strong line-ups of games that are ready to go as soon as the console drops. The Wii U won't even have it's strongest titles until nest year.

Lol what line up? I saw 2 games that were exclusive to next gen that "looked" good. Everything else is coming to pc and/or current gen. People on this site fail to recognize that average consumer isn't going to drop $500+ on a new console plus 1 game unless it is worthwhile to buy at launch. Once the hardcore Sony and Xbox fans buy their consoles nobody else will until there are enough next gen games available or a price cut.

Even though a lot of the games coming out on the X1 and PS4 are multiplats, they're still coming out of the gate with a larger library than Nintendo had. Also, both consoles aren't dependent on MS and Sony's first party studios alone to make games and drive sales. That's what's killing the Wii U. In between the big Nintendo releases, there aren't any other third party devs rolling out games to keep people interested and playing. Sure, maybe you'll buy the next Mario Kart the second it releases, but wouldn't you like to play a DIRT,GRID, or Need for Speed in the meantime? Racing fans on the X1 and PS4 will have their Forzas and Gran Turismos, but they'll also have those games to play on as well.

Edited by Noshotskill: 8/5/2013 10:16:23 PMI agree the Wii U is suffering from a lack of games + third party support, but too many people on this site think the PS4 and Xbox One will be a juggernaut in terms of sales. I'm just saying those consoles will suffer from sales during the first 6-12 months after the hardcore fans pick up their consoles at launch. Here is why: - Very expensive ($500+ for console, 1 game, and subscription fee) - No backwards compatibility - Requires an online subscription fee to play online multiplayer - No exclusive games coming anytime soon after launch There is no reason for the average consumer to buy those consoles with that price tag. Why would I buy a PS4 or Xbox one to play games that are coming out on 360, PS3, and PC? Not to mention I'd have to shell out half a grand just for the console. This doesn't even include the bugs that come with first edition consoles. Whats going to happen is after the holiday rush ends, those consoles will slack along just like the Wii U (although I expect the sales to be better, but not by much). When enough games come out and/or price cut occurs, you'll start seeing more people upgrade to next-gen.
