I found this from a quick google search: The above answer is kind of messy. Chris Claremont (Writer) had meant for Sabretooth to be Wolverine's father. But the writers after him didn't make it happen. Basically, Victor Creed's father is Thomas Logan. Wolverine (James "Logan" Howlett) was originally thought to be the son of John Howlett, Sr. and Elizabeth Howlett. Later in the comics it's reveled that Elizabeth may have had an affair with Thomas Logan, who was the estate's groundskeeper. Thomas Logan has another known child; Dog Logan. It has never been stated if Dog Logan and Sabretooth are actually the same people. It was left open for future writers to work with. So basically, Sabretooth and Wolverine may or may not be brothers, but they are not father and son. That was disproved in Wolverine vol. 2 #43 when S.H.I.E.L.D. preformed genetic tests that confirmed they were not father and son.

Actually, Dog Logan was introduced relatively recently in [u]Wolverine & the X-Men[/u] as Wolverine's half-brother and a completely separate entity from Sabertooth. If you look in Wikipedia and the [url=http://marvel.wikia.com/Sabretooth_%28Victor_Creed%29]Marvel wiki[/url], it says that Sabertooth killed his father and brother at a young age and took care of his dying mother for years. This does not match the family history of Wolverine, so they are not brothers.
