I'm sorry, and it may just be predisposition towards this being a Christian, but I feel that peoples fear of Satanism is somewhat justified.
At least in my opinion, it is somewhat strange to worship the main "evil", if you will, figure of 4 extremely large religions.
To each their own, I guess.

To all the others, no, the 4 religions are Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and Bahá'í, which was founded in 19th century Persia and has a fairly large following, making it far from extinct or ancient.
-
Which 4?
-
I think...Christianity, Judaism, Islam, and I don't know the fourth. I only remember some old practically dead religion that held close similarities with those three, but I doubt he means that one.

Zoastrianarianism
-
That's the near dead one I mentioned, but I didn't know if it's what he meant. The only reason I knew it was because of the World Religions class I took in high school.
-
Yeah, I figured that's the one he's talking about. It's one of the oldest known religions.
-
Not Judaism.
-
Judaism has the original Satan figure, but he's actually "The Accuser" kind of like the DA, with Jehovah as the Judge and you representing yourself on defense. Satan originally, in the Abrahamic religions, was just the one who kept track of your misdeeds and moments of missed faith. It wasn't until after the New Testament that he was recast as the Arch-Villain and Morning Star that fell from Heaven. In fact, most of those stories come from the Christian equivalent of Fan Fiction.
-
But you agree about the other two?
-
I don't know enough about Islam to be sure, but I believe they are correct.
-
Yes, I can see where you are coming from. The media and the Internet do portray us as... bad, I guess.
