I loved everybit of the story so far.. The campaign etc.. two things I really dislike about it.. the Matterspark ball and the portal. The spark literally is just a progress, puzzle, transport that likely allows them to clear cache or load screens while we move through that tunnel. It adds nothing and takes away from the game. The Portal.. I get it.. they wanted change.. but, after 10 years.. why are you changing how we see and do things? Its not very intuitive at all.

Could it be linked to all the crashes? All platforms are getting crashes, I can't play longer than 25 mins without the game shutting down

I mean it could but, I have zero clue to be certain at all one way or the other. There is also the issue of sound being all effed up too, likely part of the crash issue but, could be separate. I played for 3 hours yesterday and had no issues with crashes.

Yeah I thought it was my brand new Xbox but after reading help forums it's happening just I'm seeing to lots of others. Screen freezes, plays, freezes, desktops. It's also all console platforms.

Matterspark, while not the most interesting mechanic, was fun to figure out the puzzles with. The other two abilities are fun, and are quite potent once upgraded. I don’t understand the distain for the portal.

That is fair. I don't play a FPS or a looter shooter to play puzzles.. so I suppose that has alot to do with it. I have not upgraded the ability to see it be any better.. but, I seriously have my doubts. As for the portal, its a personal issue I suppose, after 10 years of the director, it was easy to move around, see what I was doing, what I wanted etc.. with zero intuitiveness to the new pages.. it feels like i'm more lost than have a direction to go for my gaming.

It’s a double edged sword for Bungie. On one hand you have people that don’t want the same/same but different feel for a game that’s 10 years old. On the other you have the opposite. Both will complain about the others way. Both are very vocal. The game has to evolve. It has to change. Shooting your gun in the same generic fashion can only be done so many times before it’s repetitive. Destiny was built on mystery. Puzzles only add to that experience. You can still go around shooting everything you could before, only this time you’ve gotta use your brain a little more. People will get used to the portal in a couple of months and forget about this issue. Nostalgia takes ahold when something you’re familiar and fond of, changes.

I will absolutely agree with you, the portal.. will just... .we will get used to it.. Matter spark.. I think will continue to divide the masses. If its in the raid.. which I am very sure it will be.. I'm sure it will be even more divisive. Just because I don't like one aspect won't mean I will quit destiny and give my departure time though lol. I'll be here.. playing.. voicing my opinion.
