I played the free mission and it would have been fun if not for the spark ball BS.
Really dumb addition to a looter shooter when you can't shoot or loot when in ball form. It's not challenging, it's childish & annoying.
It's hard not to believe that this is intentional sabotage. It's universally agreed upon that if there's one thing Bungie does well, it's the FPS shooting & movement. Why pull players out of that?

[i]Joined September 3, 2021[/i] Don't worry, I will. Along with most of what's left of the people willing to play this shell of its former self game. I'm only back to finish Final Shape, which was free. One thing to consider. MMOs need players to survive. People leaving is bad for business.

It's the only way to open certain loot by using it's damage mode.

Maybe that happens later in the campaign. I only did the free stuff. I'm not going to pay full price for this low content DLC. It will be free in less than a year, and then maybe I'll torment myself as a glowy ball just to play through the story.
