Just looked this up.
Shame she does not have the resources or will to sue. She would win easily and probably in a big way.
The pattern of art theft at bungie is not just concerning, it seems to indicates it is intentional and maybe a coordinated effort.
Bungie said there was a lack of oversight and that some laid off dev did this without any knowledge, I would say they are lying through their teeth to try and escape serious judgement.
The morally and ethically correct thing to do would pay the person whatever they ask and then add 10% to the total. Then issue a formal public apology admitting wrong doing.

I don't think it's a pattern of theft, it's a pattern of incompetence going back 30 years - the art theft was different Devs, different outsourced companies the issue was it wasn't checked, incompetence . Look at the state of how things are, there's been almost daily issues for decades, everything outside of music & art & gunplay is terrible.

If she started a GoFundMe for it that might work.

I remember the say no to rage thing & when he explained how suing a big company works it's mathematicaly impossible for 99% of people. I forget the costs but if you're not from Seattle it costs like an extra 40k just to start a case, then there's mega money needed for decent lawyers, & the big company knows you're broke so just stretch it out for years until you have to give up. It's also mentally very taxing & hurtful, having been thru a tribunal myself, things are made up, lies are told, & even when you win it's kinda not worth it, it ages you.

I believe you. This incident is very different than what was done to say no to rage. Bungie has actually come out and admitted wrongdoing. They had to, it was obvious. Some attorneys might want to take it on not charging anything beyond a percentage. More than likely Bungie would settle out of court for the sake of not making themselves look worse than they already have. What was done to Lono was awful. I wish he could have sued the streamers that made unfounded accusations.

[quote] What was done to Lono was awful. Glad to see he's not changed much, just talk about just bungie for a change 😂. Since him & goth left the directory it's become a cesspool of service streams. The whole destiny thing has run it's course it seems

Wow! Didn’t know that! Glad to hear he got his account back. Bungie should do the right thing by him and lift the ban.

They never would & he says he'd never go back - he's not played in over 4 years - but I think he'd be all over it 😆 bloke lost everything, but somehow came back.

Edited by TheArtist: 5/20/2025 2:51:28 PMNo doubt. It’s been satisfying to watch his stubborn refusal to be cancelled. By a group of streamers that were clearly just out to get rid of the competition. I think he wouldn’t go back, because you can still hear that he’s bitter about how he was treated. But Bungie would help their situation by making right a situation where an individual who apparently had a pattern of abusing his power at Bungie was elbow deep in this and had a huge conflict of interest….

Bungie might not be around much longer tbh, they've far bigger issues right now like staying viable

Which is why I think Sony needs to step in and clean house at the top. They created this mess…and I don’t think they have the ability or the motivation to fix it. As the rumors are suggesting, I think they are just marking time until the checks clear from the buyout…and then they’re gone…and what happens after that is “a Sony problem.” 😕

Nailed it 💯

Twitch has a lot of problems. Hasan Piker being one. 😂

True. I hope it works out that way
