I'm about 98% confident that the Red War lawsuit is bunk. That guy is trying to claim basic Hero's Journey beats and story elements based on the same point in our history (Romans/Spartans, to be specific) as his original idea. Not to mention it's come to light that things he claims were his were published after Bungie had already released the content, meaning there's no way it could be stolen. This says nothing about how he claims aspects [i]that aren't even published anywhere[/i] were somehow stolen from him.
The guy was trying to get a settlement to avoid court fees and it's not working for him.
Other than that one specific case, Bungie is pretty definitively caught red-handed stealing art assets again. I'm not exactly surprised, though; look at the people on their team and tell me there's a truly creative bone in any one of them. They get through life aping other peoples' work, hoping no one checks it, and once they get their foot through the door of a major studio it all comes back to bite them in the -blam!-.
It's a tale as old as DEI.

This just in: being against discrimination makes you racist. The point is that these people weren't hired for their skill or knowledge; they were hired because they checked boxes. That's why everything sucks in-game narratively, that's why so many assets are being found to be stolen, and that's why they care so much about pronouns and relationships in a brink-of-extinction Sci-Fi space shooter. I saw all the evidence early on and it was a carbon copy. The legal team and all the money we gave them allowed plenty of time for non disclosure and other means of intimidation. Plus once the case goes into litigation you only get to see old articles and a vague lawsuit minus a discovery that contains all the facts. The evidence is overwhelming and the release doesn’t matter because people “hang out” and talk to each other sharing stories and experiences all the time. The content was removed because it was spoliated and that’s a major no no in the courts and certainly is revealing as to what one’s motives are.

I mean it’s a pretty basic story anyways, Roman/Spartan theming, which is just the Cabal. With a Death Star and some “oh no we lost the light and that’s the explanation for your character losing its D1 abilities” even if this guy wrote a script similar to it that doesn’t mean it’s guaranteed plagiarism.

Whether it’s false or not bungie has screwed them selfs so if this guy that’s suing them can now use all this stolen art as pattern of character in their law suit bungie needs to really start taking responsibility of their companies actions like I seen they said it was a laid off dev that did it but the problem is even the lead art designer follows the guy that got his crap stolen. A true leader would have caught this I get you can’t catch everything but he follows the artist knows the art style and should have don’t a simple search
