Bring back the 600 meta. Get my gnawing hunger and summoner out for another run again. That was the most fun yo play with, or against.

Not to me ;) I s..k with handcannons. Pulse rifles and scouts are situational to me but good to use. And smgs feel to short on range sometimes. The 600 meta was the most fun to me. 🤷 😄

It was too easy and too forgiving. It got boring really quickly.

Exactly. Due to its forgiveness I could compete better against the players making ‘impossible’ (and very suspicious) perfect 3 tap headshots all the time. I hate it when I’m blasting away fully in to them seeing the hit markers and still they receive no flinch it seems. When the 600 were king, that problem fell away and opponents needed to be smarter then just mindlessly jump in the air and get you despite being fired upon.

That is the problem. Low skill players should be able to compete with people better than them

There’s nothing mindless about playing with a HC. You obviously gravitate to the lower skill metas but for people that enjoy the challenge, it makes the game very boring and one dimensional. It may have been fun for you because you could get kills but when ARs are meta the game loses any and all dynamics. No positioning necessary, no timing, no shot placing - just spray and pray.

Edited by llSpAxXll: 4/13/2025 4:55:34 PMThings like shot placing aiming and timing your shots basically goes out the window when I see a player *instantly* turn doing a 180, jump in the air and land all 3 headshots perfectly every-single-time.. on PC maybe, but on console this is a dead giveaway for yet another player using something shady on its console port. When not-winning a fight like this in that I was shooting first and pumping someone full of bullets, that becomes stale to me (us) ‘lower skilled’ players. I hate the handcannon meta because of this. Always the same excuse, always ‘skill’ that has to be the factor and not simply diversity or god forbid… FUN. I hope bungie will upgrade the cheat software and filter out the input devices. THEN handcannons can come back to being top dog and I’ll be interested to see what remains of those players shooting with 90% accuracy all the time. [spoiler]this is my personal preference. You will not agree with me and that’s ok, but not everything has to do with skill on this game. This my take on it and whatever your going to say next will not change my mind. [/spoiler]

I’ve never been against diversity - in fact, it’s the opposite and when ARs are the meta, that’s [b]all[/b] you see. Don’t misrepresent my argument either, I never said everything is to do with skill but a preference for ARs over guns, that require pacing and aim, is. You’ll actually find that, unless I’m playing trials or sometimes comp, I use totally off meta stuff. What you are doing is making an association between HC usage and cheating. They are different conversations but it seems to me that you are likely just playing against people that are better than you. You can easily turn pretty fast with high sensitivity - not PC fast but plenty fast enough. Try changing your settings.

Nah many people are just good after playing for 8+ years. You can watch Sergio if you want to see how far you can take the controller input
