It's nothing like Destiny 1 or 2. Destiny 2 has paid for Marathon's development while being neglected terribly. That's why.

Not necessarily. There will be a lot of interest after the reveal on 4/12. We have seen practically nothing to date. Please do not misinterpret my remark. I have no interest in Marathon. The little I have seen so far is unappealing, and I do not want to play a PvP game.

True but I think when people realize it is going to be a paid for game and not free to play then the hype will fade. Pvp only games that aren’t free to play never do well

Not to mention extraction shooter is already a niche genre with established big hitters they'll need to draw players from. Most destiny dads are unlikely to find it appealing, so their current audience is not likely going to be the majority of adopters.

Trying to charge $40 for an extraction shooter in an already saturated market is a big ask.

Can't agree. Elden Ring would be a different story but Nightreign doesn't really have any heart or soul. The combat was fun but I wish there was more substance and innovation. From what ive played in the network tests, Nightreign can't touch the emotion, character interactions, Raid complexity and environmental design of Witch Queen and The Final Shape.
