I mean. Most games are gonna see a dip in players lol GTA is like the second or third biggest game franchise not on Nintendo

Nah. The new gta trailers don't impress me at all.

I'm not even a gta fan. I actually hate the series. But I've seen the fans who still play it. Comparing them to remaining d2 fans is like looking at someone going to a job they hate and someone going to one the love.

Unless they make it $100+ just for a Standard version.

GTA is mediocre at best. 6 won't even remotely live up to the hype anyway

Cyberpunk, borderlands 3, call of duty (on more than one occasion), every time there's a major content drop for warframe, black myth wukong, elden ring, monster hunter (again, on more than one occasion), need I go on? It's like you fail to understand how people play video games. People don't just play one video game, and not every gamer is gonna play every video game. One game coming out doesn't mean everybody is gonna suddenly just stop playing another.

LOL gta 5 released in 2013. read that again. 2013. what year is it again? LOL re-released a couple years later (2014-15) with 'enhancements'. so, over 10 years before new content is released? again....LOL it's gonna flop. just my opinion.

Steam charts for gta far exceed d2. You are coping harder than every destiny player combined if you think gta is gonna flop.

I haven't heard (or read) someone use the term 'cloaca' since 'Mass Effect,' I think.

So many good games this year. Destiny is screwed. Marathon too if they’re dumb enough to release it this year

not being a jerk or anything, it's a serious question, what are some new 'good' games (besides gta, because it isn't new) that are releasing this year? on the lines of looter/shooters or MMORPG's.

Will it though? I have never played a GTA game and probably never will. I may be in the minority, but I am certainly not alone.

I never understood the appeal either. But based on the sales of GTA 5 (200 million), I'd say it definitely has an impact on the gaming community as a whole, let alone the Destiny player base. Not enough to cause panic, but that's just how the state of the community is atm, and those who continue to just ignore it are not helping in the long run.
