Act III released this week. We have 25K players on Steam on a sunday during prime time EU and NA is awake.
+ the "season" will end in July.
Do i have to add more? To put it into perspective, 18K players were the all time low recently (average) and that was during late season. And during healthy times, we consistently had 60K+ average players on Steam.
I think it's time to put the game to sleep. Even on youtube and twitch, theres no audience left for the game anymore.
We had a good run but noone wants to play this uninspired cash cow trash anymore thats been served to us recently. Destiny the eververse store, excuse me, Destiny the video game has run its course imo. The passion by Bungie isnt there anymore.
And don't call me out being a "dead game" sayer. It's numbers. Numbers don't lie. Also i am sad about the state destiny has been in the last couple of years. I would love to see it suceed still. Becuase i USED TO love the game. Not anymore tho. I guess Bungie has to see Marathon fail first to realize what an amazing they abandoned..

You are a dead gamer lol just because steam is low doesn't mean the game is, there are 3 other platforms with players the game is normal for what is recent act 3 hasn't provided anything but a days worth of activities.

So Basically: "I'm not having fun like I used but I'm also obsessed and want the game to end so I can be relieved of my forum lurking duty and I don't care if there are still players who enjoy it. If I can't be wholly satisfied no one else can to any degree." Destiny 2 is IN your head but you do not have a gun TO your head forcing you to play or doom post. You're not having fun. Just do something else man.

The lack of interest/development from Bungie its self has made the community resentful & potential new players distrusting. The only real hope is Marathon failing, as this is the only thing that will get all of the management level replaced. Which has been proven is the problem and is incompetent at best. But thats being hopeful Sony treats Destiny with the reverence the player base believes it deserves. As destiny has the potential to be the WoW of shooters if Sony invests into it.

And you 100% are a dead game whiner. The game is fine, still being played, and still has future content planned for it. If you don't like it, the door is over there, and it's always been open and unlocked. No one's stopping you from leaving.

5 RepliesProbably because the content of act 3 has’t released yet. We only got a little story quest and a new strike so far. (And no new loot to chase) Most players do not play destiny for the weak story quests Wait for everything to drop to check the number of players.

Tried to play Court of Blades twice…. Both times, the boss never spawns or got locked in the bubble , no way out. Turned the game off. For the first time, I agree…. Destiny 3 or call it. The game is a mess, story incomprehensible and just isn’t fun anymore

Just take away the need for matchmaking and build most encounters for solo players - there's literally no one to play with anymore... Rethink raids into a boss event like menagerie that only involves shooting, for solos - again no one to play with... We'd still like to earn the weapons somehow

Doubling down on Eververse cosmetics - (the most armor sets we've gotten in a single year ) - (new holochip cosmetic) lay offs guardian game boss rush (Free) better than the paid boss rush (court of blades) Less seasonal content in the future. Less Dungeon content. too many bugs that actively hurt the season (that last for months or way too long) 2 shadowkeep sized DLC's Can't wait.
