Warlocks used to get all the reworks and buffs before.
Than 3.0 rolled around and every other class which was severely lacking got a bunch of new stuff.
Warlocks already had plenty so they didn't need any more. I get it yah want new or powerful stuff... Thing is Warlocks already have the most unique and powerful stuff.
Most requested class in an Lfg? Warlock. Solo Raids and Dungeons? Warlocks.
To me at least it seems like Warlock mains just don't actually like their own damn class. All they do is complain, when they have options. You don't like those options? Sounds like you're playing the wrong class.
Just my take

Most requested for well and well alone. Nerf it and stop with the bullshit warlock as support class identity I'm not here to support people who can't do their own damage

It's more our class is outdated just look at empowering rift, it has no use in the game anymore as it was originally put in as one of the only weapon damage buff you could get and with the way buffs don't stack anymore what's the point of having to stand still in a non protective rift when you can move freely with armor charges or radiant?
-
That right there is your problem. You're locking yourself into solar for radiant or surge mods. You're empowering rift is a free buff. So yah can run something else. You choose to pigeon hole yourself.

No... it's really not. You basically have to be not moving (or hardly moving) to maintain a buff for 15 seconds, at the cost of your healing rift. Compared to any surge mod that can last up to a minimum of 10 to 30 seconds, or with minimal effort 15 to 60 seconds. Empowering rift is from a time when we didn't have weapon damage buffs and now that we do the ability is just obsolete.

Edited by Dasheng: 5/23/2023 2:14:20 PMBut empowering can stack with surge mod, that's his strength. You put your empowering rift, to have a bit more dmg while killing ads etc. Or you can pair it with boots of the assembler to send a 35% buff to your allies, which is higher than well of radiance, and rally barricade is already better than lunafaction. Indeed, you'll have to renounce to healing during the DPS phase. Radiance just do too much, too well (no pun intended). You have sustain healing in a large zone, and dmg buff, and paired with the right exotic you have bonus range and bonus reload speed. Without it, you'll need one (or two) warlock with healing rift (smaller than radiance) and the same amount of empowering rift + either lunafaction or small barricades (flinch resistance and stability). So basically, what could be a team work of 4 to 6 people, with good positioning, can be done by one guy, with the right exotic, pressing one key globally where everyone will DPS. If radiance was something else (like an immunity zone to non-precision damage that last 10s and not 30s like now), it would help other classes to shine and warlock to be more than just a well of radiance
