Warlocks need some love.
Warlocks have severely fallen behind in the past year in terms of treatment it feels, it's honestly quite sad. I wonder what the actual player count for them is these days and it's kinda funny that both hunters and titans keep getting these nerfs, yet walocks go untouched since they've not been meta in years.

18 RepliesCompared to Titans, you have it NICE... Warlocks get a missile barrage, what do titans get? A rip off, less effective version of Wasabi's energy blades from Big Hero Six... Warlocks get a Rifts that can heal, increase damage, and drop thread lings.. What do Titans get? A BARRIER, Rally or Wall, Rally used to be OP, not now.. And in my opinion (and others over on another forum post), Titans have little to no resistance and Recovery compared to earlier in the year... But yeah, sure, Improve the Warlocks...

1 ReplyThey’ll never get it given that their entire class population is less than just the Nightstalker hunters running around lol. Look at the downvotes, there’s no chance for them to even have a voice, and even when something is upvoted, it’s never looked at. My Titan and hunter have loads more ability based builds, build/ability uniqueness and variety, and are generally just much more fun to play although I prefer Titan. It’s pretty funny how I can have more ability uptime than the literal space wizards in almost every situation. Also, once you know that Glacial Quake can deal almost a million damage with just heavy spam it’s a bit hard to go back, let alone how fun blade fury is to use lol. Still kinda wish Bungie would actually lean into class fantasies though. Sandbox lead is a warlock main and it really shows how bond his taste is given the state of the class. Hunter and Titan are lucky charms and Cookie Crisp while warlock is soggy corn flakes lol. It’s wild.

3 RepliesIn PVE it's not even close, Warlock is easily the best class. A lot of support type players choose Warlock for obvious reasons, so the leaderboards aren't going to reflect what we all know. "Do we have any Warlocks? " is always the first question.

We are the least popular class in D2's entire history. Last time I saw numbers, we were in the low 20% range, and I wouldn't be shocked if it were under 20% now. Warlocks aren't fun. We're functional. People want fun and functional, which is why they choose the other two classes, and rightfully so. Had to rig Guardian Games just to make it seem like we put up a fight.

5 RepliesMy issue is more the slow leaching of class identity between all 3. 3.0 subclass reworks were largely a success but the one area that I think got hit hard was class identity. Warlocks were meta because of one exotic, it wasn’t the class overall. Now that the exotic is getting nerfed to literal death, warlocks are going to fall even further behind.

Pve warlocks easily have the best super, best stasis, good void. Warlocks in pve are easily the best class In pvp they’re bad

1 ReplyAgreed, most common thing most players say are warlocks are overpowered, meta, etc. Guardian games was a real good way to show warlocks are definitely not. Titans are the meta, hunters mid, and warlocks dead last. Everyone likes to use starfire as the main punch line too. Starfires getting a fat nerf, but I rarely even use starfire myself. I have 5 real good builds I rotate. Titans are the hot class right now because with the right builds that have immense power and extreme orb generation. I know some titans where slapping over 100 orbs in a nightfall is common. Like every encounter there’s just pools of orbs all over the ground and waves of enemies just decimated before you can even see them.

The class will never see it. People scream about Well and apparently that's all it takes to never get the love they need. Ya know, compared to titans who can do everything anyone else can do but better right now in PvP and in PvE they have HoiL and that's all you need for any subclass to instantly be more fun. There's a massive bias against the warlock class in this game, bigger than any bias against hunters or titans, cause there's more players who main those classes than warlocks.

5 RepliesEvery warlock class is very strong in its own right. Void: Weaken spam, vortex mayhem, devour and insane ability loops. Nuff said. Arc: Verb insanity, blinds/jolts/amplify on demand, with a emphasis on grenade/arc soul spam. One of the strongest add clear/control in the game, while being a fantastic support class with healing and passive chip damage whenever. Solar: Strong emphasis on survival/damage. Healing factor is second to non(devour can’t tank aswell as resto x2)combined with Strong AOE and single target damage push it to be a contender for best class in the game. TBH this is self explanatory. Stasis: Strongest Add *CONTROL* in the game. When nothing shoots back, nothing is a problem. While lacking in single target damage, it more then makes up for that with its complete and utter map control. Which is much more useful the higher the difficulty. Strand: Probably THE strongest overall class in the game currently. Suspend build with Osteo is oppressively strong. Making every single activity a joke. Swap Osteo for Witherhoard and now you’ve got one of the best boss damage cycles in the game once starfire gets nerfed. Crazy add clear,control,AOE,single target and survival.

5 RepliesAnyone seen the new hot garbage "Exotic" Warlocks have been given this season too. Trace rifles matching your subclass mark "bosses" and if an "Ally" gets the final blow it spawns a heavy brick... what absolute trash.

I just want a general non-subclass specific super damage boosting exotic on Warlock. Titans have synthoseps which are good and Hunters have Star Eater Scales which are freaking amazing! What do Warlocks have??? NOTHING.

The only thing that warlock is missing is a proper melee setup (and even this can be debated) Arc warlock needs help tho. And for the love of whatever you pray in give the 1 super subclasses another one that's of the opposite use

5 RepliesWarlocks used to get all the reworks and buffs before. Than 3.0 rolled around and every other class which was severely lacking got a bunch of new stuff. Warlocks already had plenty so they didn't need any more. I get it yah want new or powerful stuff... Thing is Warlocks already have the most unique and powerful stuff. Most requested class in an Lfg? Warlock. Solo Raids and Dungeons? Warlocks. To me at least it seems like Warlock mains just don't actually like their own damn class. All they do is complain, when they have options. You don't like those options? Sounds like you're playing the wrong class. Just my take

4 RepliesIf we're talking pve Arc Warlock is like the only subclass on Warlock that needs improvement. Void, Solar, Strand, and Stasis are all extremely powerful on Warlock. In pvp Stasis, Solar, and Void Warlock are all still great and powerful choices Strand falls off a bit but I've seen some pretty good pvp builds. In the end it really is only Arc that has fallen behind.

8 RepliesWrong. My dad has literally built his warlock so that he has infinite restoration, infinite lava spewing solar grenades, infinite charged melee, and a ridiculous recharge rate of his super. And that’s not even mentioning the solar weapons buff he gets off the loadout.

11 RepliesWarlocks have been on top for years. The devs gushed about going and creating a new animation for when you have an arc soul and void buddy. Warlocks were originally going to be a giant spider… while titans got another roaming melee super. Nearly every warlock melee has a different animation. While Titans just recycle their melee animations from their supers. Warlocks got Well of radiance which made bubble obsolete in pve. They also stole air dodge from Titans. Do I need to mention starfire protocol? In D1 they had self res. Most of the devs play warlock. Warlocks have been shown a TON of love.
