Elo has nothing to do with the matchmaking, bungie has a internal “elo” for everyone. This is just the woes of sbmm

Oh, sorry, my bad. Yeah, they have their own internal calculation for that. I was more using it as a benchmark to explain just how bad my matches have been compared to how I normally play. Haha But I do see how what I wrote seems a little misleading.
