Edited by DriftedColt4179: 3/27/2021 12:06:17 AMYea, clearly a -blam!-ing joke. Went from feared and respected to a complete laughing stock of the world. The past roughly 15 years of America has been a joke. I am literally ashamed I spent 15 years in the Marine Corps defending this joke of a country. Shame it’s only going to get worse from here on out.

I can't believe you military guys are so sensitive, you play Destiny where all the nations united and there was peace. Why would you want to be the most feared country in the world? We should be working together to keep our Earth sustainable and liveable not intimidate our neighbors with death and nuclear destruction. I swear you guys who join the military only want a reason to kill other people and feel good about it. Your not defending anything but your own desires violence. Such a shame

Edited by DriftedColt4179: 3/27/2021 11:07:52 PMYou’re clueless. Being feared doesn’t necessarily mean you are using it to intimidate others. It’s a deterrent, would you rather pick a fight with Peter Dinkledge or mike Tyson? Neither one is intimidating you, but if you aren’t afraid of fighting Mike Tyson you’d be stupid seeing as he would more than likely end you with a single punch. I’m not just saying he could possibly kill you, I’m saying there’s a very strong chance that if you hopped in the ring with him you might not leave the same way you got in, brain damage is a possible result of that encounter. To say that every military member has joined up just to kill is so far fetched it’s actually disgusting. Thank god there’s those of us who see beyond ourselves and decide to serve, if we had utopia seeking snowflakes like you running around we’d all be speaking German or Japanese right now, shit with out us there might not have ever been an America, we could all still be flying the Union Jack. Not one Marine I have ever served with was happy about the things they may have done. Most of them struggle every day with things they have had to do, many have ended their lives because of things they have done to protect their brothers and the country they serve. You do realize that people died to protect your right to spout off utter bullshit with out repercussions. I hope you think long and hard about the things you think to be true. Maybe you have/had a grandfather or a great grandfather who served, maybe they are looking down on you with tears of disappointment because you just spat on everything they did to provide you and your family with a better life. The world will never not see war. Humans have had war since our existence and will continue it until we are gone.

Edited by Ghetrix: 3/28/2021 12:00:33 AMI served in the National Guard and probably saw the more then you tip of the spear crayon munchers. Dumbest decision of my life am when it actually realized what we/our country was doing I knew it wasn't the place for me. I was protecting or deterring anything but acting as a pawn for the 1% and their agenda. You act like Vietnam and Korea were actually us serving our citizens. No we were serving and acting on behalf of corrupted sick humans. Sure war may have been a necessity in the past but it is the past for a reason we are not fighting for our or anyone's freedom anymore. How dense can you be.....

Edited by DriftedColt4179: 3/28/2021 12:01:45 AMYou said military then come back with National Guard........Tip of the spear cowards? Wow talk about dense. Why don’t you go fill some sand bags and save us from a big rain storm.
-
Coward was the incorrect term, sorry, I edited to make it more accurate. But still we are deployed more then any branch(or were at the time I served)
-
Edited by DriftedColt4179: 3/28/2021 12:11:51 AMYea you get deployed to hold and maintain the ground that the Marines take. Then we have to come back and fix it again for you to hold it and more than likely -blam!- it up again. There’s a reason the Marines are already in combat while you are still thinking about predeoyment work ups. You don’t see national guard positioned all around the world in MEUs ready to deploy at a moments notice.

Whatever we're more useful, and more practical can be used for then just warfare. We are the Swiss army knife while you guys a hammer. Anyways as entertaining as this has been, it's getting nowhere. We may still have need for deterrents but nothing like we used to. We may fight wars in the future but they will be nothing like they used to be or for the same purpose they used to be. Thank you for your service crayon muncher and I look forward to destroying you in the Crucible

I feel for you brother I did 24.

Would have done 20 but they medically retired me. I fought it all the way to Washington DC medical boards.

I have relatives from all over. Literally. Other countries revered America 30, 40, 50 years and even more long ago. I can tell by conversations with relatives all over the world. Now, when I talk to them. It's like getting a blank stare with a question mark around their face like asking the question why or what happened to America. We have become a joke. I have friends who married foreigners and can't wait to retire and leave this place. It's bad. I can relate. How would you be motivated to defend a country that is socially and culturally in shambles. Every super power has an end. Egypt, Persia, Rome. I hope this ain't it yet here. Wake up call. It's not looking good.
