Changing your Guardians gender and appearance
Hi Bungie, I would love it if you could add a way to change your Guardians gender and appearance, be it through Silver or in some other way, I honestly wouldn't mind how.
The only way to change it right now is to make a new Guardian, and I don't feel like going through the tutorial and everything else over again just to change my guardian's looks, and my 3 slots are already full!
Why I would like this feature is because armor looks different for females and males, they have different shapes, and some shoulder pads are a bit smaller on female Titans.

Edit: I should have said feminine or masculine, since that is what it says in the game. My mistake.

1 ReplyFrankly, when they did the "face update" some time ago I'm surprised they didn't offer even a single, one-time chance to change your appearance if you didn't like what they did to the face you chose when it looked different. I shouldn't be surprised, but I still was. If Bungie isn't going to let you change your character's appearance even when [b]they[/b] make changes to it that you don't want, then there's no way they're going to implement a system to let you adjust it whenever you want.

Should be coming any day now. Players have only been asking for this since a week after Destiny 1 first released. Put this on your wish list along with auto dismantling all the dumb blue “rewards” or not being able to turn off your “cool” finisher that gets you killed when being overrun by thralls.

I would love this. In D1 my Awoken were blue! In D2 my Awoken are minty fresh. This saddened me.

I believe it should be like this when it comes to your guardian Race: Exo, Awoken, Human Body Type: Masculine, Feminine Gender: Male, Female This would add some more diversity to guardians so you can have bulkier female characters if you wanted or slim male characters Just an idea though

Tried out Outriders earlier today Stumbled upon a face recreator that was free. Destiny's problem is that it was never made to have a secondary access point to the character customization. As ridiculous as it would be to monetize that system, even that i don't think will be enough, Bungie likely just doesn't see the system worth building a path back. It's not like it would do anything for them, and monetizing it would look reallllly bad.

I mean bungie already addressed that. 1 and a half year ago. And they said that they are "working" on a solution, since they want to support diversity and also don´t like being stuck with decisions you made 4 years ago. Furthermore they even wanted to add new options to customize your character. As said... 1.5 Years ago. Since then nothing. You heard nothing more about this topic. It just died. Sadly... was one of the plans where I screamed "YES".

1 ReplyThey have suggested more is coming on this, though I'm not aware of anything being mentioned in the recent past. I mean it's a no brainer, a possible extra source of revenue for a feature that's common in pretty much every live service game ever - suprised it's not here already to be honest.

Edited by XThe_Last_YorX: 3/26/2021 4:19:44 PMI agree, there needs to be a way for us Gaurdian's to change the way our character looks, for example my Hunter looks like he has red lipstick now because of the Season 12 graphics change, I've had this Hunter and all my other characters since year 1 of the game so Bungie I will devote my life to you if you do this. And also we should be able to pick the size of our characters body and height
