Could a nightstalker boost that damage even more? Or is gunslinger not impacted by that?

I am not 100% sure, but as far as I know the Tether should work and increase damage further. However, it would probably be better to use a Sunbreaker Titan instead. The Sunbreaker Titan has a charge attack which also weakens enemies. As far as I am aware that weakening effect is stronger than the Tether. If it's the same values as in Destiny 1, Tether weakens enemies and thus increases damage by 30%, while the Sunbreaker Charge increases damage by 50%. These effects also replace each other, so if you first Sunbreaker Charge an enemy, and then tether them, damage will only be increased by 30%.

Yo the Best of my knowledge and testing the tether doesn't actually apply any damage boost to Calus however the Sunbreaker Titan does.

It rather looks like that Tether sometimes works, sometimes it does not. No idea why.

Ah! So the charge still applies the de-buff outside of the platform?

The numbers are definitely better, but, it would probably be worth finding out if the damage loss from not having a 6th person for that amount of time would outweigh that 20% bonus. Everything works the same outside the platforms, the only thing that the plates do is to provide the Force of Will buff which increases your damage by a huge amount. No idea if the weakening actually would replace a million damage. Probably not. But it would be helpful to increase the damage of the single shot, to find out the maximum damage in a single shot possible.
