Prepare for a more convoluted, flawed levelling system that encourages gaming the system. And NPC graphics that didnt age well at ALL. And Combat that didnt age particularly well either.
However Cyrodiil is very pretty, a pleasure to explore (if pretty cookie-cutter C&P after a while), the story is pretty cool, magic system is way WAY better than Skyrims, as are the faction questlines. Especially the Mages Guild. Oh and The Shivering Isles is probably still the most memorable piece of DLC I ever played. It managed to make an already great base game look bland in comparison.
It has its ups and down. If you can get past its flaws and warts, its really really fun.

I agree with you that I believe many of the faction quests were much better in a Oblivion then Skyrim. And the shivering isles is just amazing.
magic system is way WAY better than Skyrims.
This is one thing I have to entirely disagree with. Magic in Skyrim was far better mechanically than in any other elder scrolls game. Its the only game where you can really play a pure spellcaster and not feel limited. Ony things really better about oblivion was spell crafting and more spell variety (though if we're playing that card morrowind had far more variety than either).

I never do pure spellcasters, I prefer spellsword builds. Oblivion works a lot better for that.
-
Levitation. Boom.
-
Wrong. Morrowind has spell crafting so that automatically makes it the best.
Magic in Skyrim was far better mechanically than in any other elder scrolls game.
Not sure why you thought I was implying you said Morrowind didn't have spell crafting. I was countering this statement.

I'm still sore that they got Destruction so wrong. Illusion on the other hand was -blam!-ing ludicrous

Should I get the Xbox version or PC version?

PC = More mods = more fun
